I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mr Bowman and I am the Head of Year 9. After being a PE and Geography teacher at Thorpe St. Andrew School and Sixth Form for 30 years, I am very excited to be the Head of Year 9 this year and to offer guidance to this group of Year 9 students. They are a fantastic bunch of students who are always very keen to get involved with the opportunities that are offered to them in school.

We have a great group of form tutors in the year group to support the students throughout this crucial year where we will be focusing on choosing GCSE subjects in preparation for Years 10 and 11. This is a really important year but the students will be supported every step of the way by our excellent Year 9 Pastoral Team.
My expectation is that all students will strive to do their best and also that they will be kind to others. I look forward to celebrating all of their individual successes with them at the same time as supporting them along the way.
