Welcome
to Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth form Year 8 page of the website. I
would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Mr Moore the
Head of Year 8.
I
have been teaching Music for over 12 years and have also taught drama,
PSHE and RPE in this time. I took over the role of Head of Year in May
2024, and in this role I strive to provide pastoral support to our
students that helps them to achieve their goals, be inspired and feel
safe and valued as a part of our school community.
Here
at Thorpe, we pride ourselves in creating an inclusive culture with
high uniform standards and expectations on how to treat one another with
kindness, using the core values of Aspire, Respect and Engage. Through
our form time activities, assemblies and continuous support from form
tutors, the BEST team and subject teachers our Year 8 students are
taught how to interact with each other, understand the wider world and
become the best version of themselves.
