We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students in September 2025. We hope that they will be happy during their time at the school and see our aim of ‘Excellence For All’ achieved through their development and learning.

Transition Week will begin on Monday 7 July 2025 - our prospective new Year 7 students will have the opportunity to spend 2 days at Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form experiencing our school in action. Our annual Moving on Up Party is on Friday 11 July 2025! These arrangements are carefully planned to help our new Year 7 students with their transition to high school, their wellbeing and promote positive mental health. This also includes the first day of the autumn term when only Years 7, 11 and 12 will be in School and Year 7 will have three periods of induction with their form tutor before lessons start.

All these activities will address the concerns generally held by students as they move to high school. These include:
Making new friends
Understand the routines of the school
Understanding expectations the school has for their work
Finding the way around a large School
Being resilient over change

Over the summer term we will be gathering information about our new Year 7 students fro m their current school. This information will be used to identify a timetable and form time arrangements for September 2025.

Year 6 Transition Camp 2025

We are very excited to announce the Camp will back this summer to welcome our new Year 7 Cohort to their new school. The camp will run for two days from Thursday 28 and Friday 29 August 2025. Each day will start at 9.00 am and run until 3.00 pm. The Camp will be free of charge to all our Year 7 students who will be starting with us in September 2025.
