Marsh Harrier (Blue House)

What drew me towards wanting to be a Head of House is what it stands for: a sense of community, a place to find friendship and a place to express what could be a hidden talent and inspire students towards their future.

Before studying to become a Teacher of Drama, I worked for a charity run summer camp in upstate New York, giving young people a safe space where they could have fun and express themselves. I created the activities and challenged them to be the best versions of themselves, I am now applying the same skills and enthusiasm to the role of Head of House. In my classroom, I see exceptional ability in our students and how their confidence grows each year through Performing Arts. I love being a Head of House, seeing our students grow in confidence, seeing their hidden talents… I guess it also helps that I too am very competitive and am not afraid to make a fool out of myself if it can ensure we get as many Marsh Harriers as possible at the events!

You've got to be in it, to win it!
